India Chem is one of the largest composite events of Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Technologies, Process Plant Machinery, Controls & Automation System industry of the Asia-pacific region organized by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Government of India in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). This spectacular event comprises an International Exhibition & a Conference of representatives of participating global giants from various associated fields. The flagship event, in its 10^th Edition, now provides a grand overview of this fast surging major sector of the Indian economy and attracts delegates and business visitors, not only from India but also from all major chemical producing countries, thereby providing immense potential for more trade and investment in a mutually beneficial way. It also meets the objective of developing the Indian Chemical and Petrochemical Industry and to give impetus to the “Make in India” and “Swatch Bharat (Clean India)” campaign of Government of India.
 
I am happy to inform you that the next event in the series, India Chem 2018 scheduled from 4^th – 6^th October 2018 at Hall No. 1, Bombay Exhibition Centre, NSE Complex, Goregaon, Mumbai, India. The event is expected to register a significant growth both in terms of space, exhibitors’ participation and potential buyer/ visitor & investors attendance as it provides a platform for stakeholders from across the world to interact and forge alliances with Chemicals and Petrochemicals Industry.
 
At the successful 2016 edition, that witnessed overwhelming participation from 23 leading countries such as Japan, Dubai, Turkey, Chile, Bangladesh, Iran, Argentina, Malaysia, Germany, Saudi Arabia, China, Taiwan, USA, Vietnam, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, Belgium, Israel, Trinidad & Tobago, Portugal and hosted focused country pavilion from Iran.
 
Government of Maharashtra was a Host State and Gujarat, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh partnered with the event and participated as Partner States. Other leading states such as Tripura, and Madhya Pradesh participated at the various business forums. Concurrent events on Agro Chemicals, Pumps, Valves and Process Equipment Expo 2016, India Promach 2016, an International conference, CEOs’ Roundtable Discussion, Buyer-Seller meet, Business Networking Dinner were some of the highlights of the Show.
