AZeotropy is the annual chemical engineering symposium organized by the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Engineering Association(ChEA) of IIT Bombay every year. AZeotropy signifies the goal of achieving an indestructible relation between the chemical industry and the curriculum of chemical engineering. AZeotropy organizes an array of events spread across two days which provides a platform for chemical engineering students to showcase their engineering skills.
The 13th edition was held on 16-17th March 2019. The theme for the edition was ‘Nanotechcellence - Demystifying the Nano World’, which focused on the involvement of chemical engineers in industrial development without compromising with the quality and quantity of outcome. The two-day symposium was attended by around 4500+ chemical engineering students from all over India.
A large number of students participated in various competitions, the winners being felicitated with prizes while AZeotrophy Overall Trophy was grabbed by IIT Bombay for winning the most number of competitions. Under the College Ambassador program of AZeotropy, various competitions and events were organized across the country with the help of ambassadors who were also felicitated for their contribution to the success of AZeotropy.
AZeotropy 2019 witnessed great success with national and international participation contributing to bridging the gap between academia, industry, and students with a plethora of competitions, lectures and many other events. With the grand success of AZeotropy 2019, IIT Bombay is coming up with another spectacular symposium in 2020 to show off their technical knowledge and intellectual potential and hoping to elevate its growth in leaps and bounds.
