Mumbai, March 21, 2017. Over 200 overseas buyers and importers are meeting Indian companies to explore products like chemicals including organic & inorganic chemicals, agro chemicals, dyestuff, cosmetics, toiletries, castor oil, plastics, construction materials, Books & Publication, Paper and Stationary Products,  wood and allied products at the ongoing CAPIndia 2017. The two day interactions were formally inaugurated by Ms Rita Teaotia, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. CAPIndia 2017 is being participated by foreign delegates from 36 countries including Algeria, Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, Egypt, Ethiopia, France, Ghana, Indonesia, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, Vietnam and Yemen. CAPIndia 2017 is being jointly organized by four export promotion councils, CHEMEXCIL, PLEXCONCIL, CAPEXCIL and SHEFEXIL under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce and industry government of India.

Pleased at the result of the event, Ms Rita Teaotia, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India said, "The last two years have been very satisfying. The single minded purpose shown together by government, several policy makers, export promotion councils, exporters, etc. have created the energy to turn the tide. We are already witnessing the green shoots of a high paced growth in Indian exports. This comes at a time when economies around the world are struggling to stay positive in their growth. The response to CAPIndia 2017 can well be considered as a good indicator of constantly improving world's preference towards Indian products which is needed to meet country's objective of export of $900 billion by 2022."

Commenting on the response, Mr Satish Wagh, Chairman CHEMEXCIL, said, “The response has been over whelming from the buyers side. Foreign buyers are finding it extremely useful to interact with Indian companies. There has been very positive feedback on India’s pricing, delivery and quality commitments.

The venue was an amalgamation of cultures from around the world and buzzing with enquiries on diverse products from India.

Ms Emily Mwihaki from Duo Star Exporters, Kenya was extremely glad at the overall experience. As per her comment “CAPINDIA has been very well organized. As an international buyer I have gathered very good networks and I am sure I shall be working with a number of them for the growth of my organization.

Mr Rinaldo J Mendes, Director, Rinen Chemical Group, Brazil commented “This is a very good conference and is useful for our business. We are looking forward to more such opportunities in the coming years.”

Ms Piyaporn Yothaprasert, Sun Beam, Thailand said “The exhibition has a good mix of chemical suppliers. The exhibition and network is very well organized and can give opportunities to many buyers to find the right partner to full fill the business"
