Physical Form Colorless crystalline solid. Physical Appearance:- Dry Powder/Liquid/Dry Powder, Pellets Large Crystals/Gas Vapor. Melting Point 1124 °C (decomposition). Magnesium sulphate is an inorganic salt with the formula MgSO4(H2O)x where 0≤x≤7. It is often encountered as the heptahydrate sulphate mineral epsomite (MgSO4•7H2O), commonly called as Epsom salt. Magnesium sulphates are common minerals in geological environments. Their occurrence is mostly connected with supergene processes. Some of them are also important constituents of evaporite potassium-magnesium (K-Mg) salts deposits.
