Ammonium Carbonate is Non-combustible. Ammonium Carbonate is used to make other ammonium compounds, in pharmaceuticals, in food processing. The chemical formula of Ammonium Carbonate is (NH4)2CO3 with molecular weight 96.09 g/mol. The density of Ammonium Carbonate is 1.50 g/cm 3. It is prepared by the sublimation of a mixture of ammonium sulphate and calcium carbonate. It is manufactured by interaction of gaseous ammonia, carbon dioxide and water vapours in the presence of a hydrogen halide.
